Everyday employees in the City produce both electronic and paper based records. These records are managed and preserved through the Corporate Records and Information Management program, overseen by the Office of the City Clerk.
The Office of the City Clerk is now seeking a Corporate Records, Business Lead. Using your expertise you will help employees ensure the protection of these records. Your success will be measured by your ability to:
- Develop training material and processes regarding electronic and paper based records systems
- Provide support to users of the OMNIRim records management system
- Help develop business requirements and complete testing associated with records systems
- Complete research related to records and information management
- Work with Department Records Administrators to ensure the maintenance and preservation of corporate documents according to policy
- Understand and communicate the impact of changes on records management practices
- Participate in Corporate Records unit’s activities including business and project planning, providing metrics to measure success outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Library Science, Art or a related discipline with course work in records management OR a Diploma in a related discipline with a Records Management Certificate
- 5 years directly related work experience in records management with 2 of those years being in project management. Those applicants holding a diploma will be required to have 7 years directly related work experience in records management with 5 of those years being in a municipal environment and 3 of those years being in a project management lead position
- Certified Records Management (CRM) designation would be an asset
- Understanding and knowledge of records information systems - electronic or paper
- Ability to analyze processes and work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability in strong organizational skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentations)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using Google applications is an asset
Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Salary: $37.162 - $46.658 (Hourly); $65,470 - $82,200 (Annually)
