UnDashboard helps align planning, policy, and data to support more coordinated housing decisions

Housing decisions don't happen in one place.
They span planning, infrastructure, finance, and policy teams, each working with their own data, priorities, and timelines. Even when teams are aligned in intent, the work itself can become fragmented.
Different datasets, inconsistent terminology, and varying assumptions can make it difficult to see how decisions connect across departments.
UnDashboard helps bring that work together.
The tool allows municipal teams to analyze and compare policies and data in relation to each other, making it easier to:
- identify inconsistencies across departments
- understand how decisions interact at a system level
- align work across different teams and timelines
- support more coordinated and informed planning

By making these relationships visible, teams can move from working in silos to working with a shared understanding of the system.
UnDashboard was developed with municipal partners as part of a multi-year research initiative focused on improving housing decision-making across Canada.
It was developed with support from the Government of Canada's Ministry of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities and is completely free for municipal teams to use.
