The City of Cornwall is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Mills as its new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). With an impressive career spanning more than 30 years, Mr. Mills is poised to bring fresh leadership and a strong sense of community connection to this important role.
Mr. Mills is no stranger to the Cornwall area, having served most recently as Chief Administrative Officer with the Municipality of South Dundas. He has also held the role of CAO for the Township of South Glengarry. His earlier career in education includes positions as Superintendent of Schools with the Upper Canada District School Board and Executive Director of the Upper Canada Leger Centre for Education and Training. His extensive experience in public service, education, and community development has equipped him with the skills and insight needed to steer the City's operations toward a bright future.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Mills has dedicated much of his life to community service. He has volunteered with numerous organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club, United Way, and the Cornwall Tourism Development Fund, demonstrating his commitment to improving the community and supporting local initiatives. His strong connection to the region extends beyond his professional life. A proud resident of the Cornwall area, Mr. Mills and his spouse Robyne have four adult children and three grandchildren.
Mr. Mills was selected through a rigorous search, which attracted a highly qualified pool of candidates. Council is confident that his leadership approach, focus on collaboration, and vision for progress will make a lasting impact on Cornwall.

Mr. Mills will officially step into his role on February 24, 2025, where he will oversee City operations and work on advancing Council's strategic priorities.
