The fall 2019 issue of the Comox Valley Recreation Guide is now available and the Comox Valley Regional District's (CVRD) Sports and Aquatic Centres has launched online registration for recreation programs and activities.

This new way to register allows residents to sign up for programs and activities from the convenience of a home computer, tablet or smart phone.  Telephone and in-person registration are also still available. User-friendly features of the online registration tool include email alerts and confirmations.

Registration how-to's, as well as trouble-shooting tips, are available online at www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/rec or may be picked up at both the Sports Centre and Aquatic Centre front desks. Residents may also call the customer service representatives at 250-334-9622, ext. 2 for assistance with setting up an account and becoming oriented to the new system.

"We're excited to offer online registration for our recreation customers to allow for a more convenient way to register anytime, anywhere," said Jennifer Zbinden, Senior Manager of Recreation Facilities.

The CVRD partnered with other local governments on Vancouver Island to make a bulk purchase of the PerfectMind software as a cost-saving initiative. The online tool will enhance customer service, increase operational efficiencies and better market and promote programs.
