We are seeking an experienced Certified Electrician for trades work in Facility Operations. This role performs residential and commercial electrical work in compliance with regulations, including installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and municipal infrastructure. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and diagnostics, maintaining documentation and inventory, supporting 24/7 operational systems, and reviewing electrical designs. The position also leads and trains staff, communicates with clients and the public, and performs related duties as required.
Requirements include minimum grade 12 or equivalent; Certificate of Electrical Apprenticeship and Electrical Trades Qualification Certificate; four years of experience which includes; Certificate of Electrical Apprenticeship and Electrical Trades Qualification Certificate and Electrical Field Safety Representative; Electrical Field Safety Representative designation (FSR-B); Arc Flash Awareness training; valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and must be fit to perform work in all weather conditions. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. As a component of the selection process, testing will be conducted.
