Description
Reporting to the Director of Planning and Development, the Economic Development Manager advances economic growth through investment attraction, business retention and expansion, and stakeholder engagement. The role acts as a key liaison between the R.M., businesses, developers, and regional partners, supporting investment by promoting the municipality and guiding proponents through development processes, servicing, and regulatory requirements. Working collaboratively across departments, the position supports a proactive, service-oriented approach to growth and helps position the R.M. as responsive, investment-ready, and supportive of long-term economic resilience.
Requirements
- A university degree in a relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in economic development, business development, investment attraction, municipal or land development, or a related field.
- Experience in a municipal or public-sector environment is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence is required.
Salary & Benefits
- Wage Range: $97,863-$116,854; salary will be commensurate with experience and education
