We have a new opportunity available for a permanent full time Engineering Projects Manager in the Water Resources Division. This is an exciting project engineering role that will allow you to lean into your design/construction expertise and apply your skills in contract administration and project management while also tackling the challenge of being a team leader to others in delivering capital projects.

Requirements

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline/field; membership as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC), and a minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in a related position with a focus on capital project management, design, and construction of civil/municipal infrastructure. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

In addition, candidates must also have professional knowledge and diverse experience in the principles, methods and techniques applicable to municipal water, wastewater and drainage infrastructure design and construction, specifically in retrofit environments; act as Engineer of Record for designs prepared under their direct supervision; and lead teams in project delivery through working with consulting teams while ensuring strong partnerships with all stakeholders. In addition to strong technical skills, success in this position requires strong organizational skills, strategic and critical thinking, good judgement and diplomacy under pressure; demonstrated leadership capability; ability to manage shifting priorities and complex situations and establish and foster strong and positive working relationships. As part of the interview process, testing will be conducted.

Salary & Benefits

The annual salary range for this exempt position is $117,135 - $137,800 (2026 rates) and an excellent benefits package.  Role profile and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca.
