What You’ll Do:
Reporting to the CAO and serving as a member of the Senior Management Team, the Manager of Recreation, Community and Economic Development provide strategic leadership, direction and oversight for recreation, community services, and economic development functions. This position is accountable for long-term planning, policy development, and the effective delivery of programs and services that support a vibrant, inclusive, and economically sustainable community. This includes oversight of municipal recreation facilities, parks, trails, cultural initiatives, and economic development activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma in Facilities Management, Recreation, Economic Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, or equivalent.
- More than 5 years of experience in facility management, recreation, economic development or similar experience.
- Up to 5 years of management experience, especially in a unionized environment.
- Strategic mindset with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and comfortable adopting new technologies.
- Valid G Drivers License.
Position Details:
- This role works across Township facilities, generally in an office environment. Some evening meetings, occasional overtime, and after-hours response may be required.
- This is a Full Time Fixed Term Contract position to cover a leave of absence; for approximately 12 to 16 months.

Salary Range: $89,034 to $111,293, based on a 35-hour work week
