Now Hiring: Maintenance Service Worker II (Competition #26-27)

Parkland County has a temporary, full-time Maintenance Service Worker II position available in our Engineering Services Department working from approximately May to mid October, 2026. Under the direction of the Supervisor, Capital Construction, you will provide hands-on semi-skilled or manual labour and related duties in the delivery of Road Construction Projects throughout the County.  The ability to work independently, communicate effectively with the public and other staff, and keep legible records is required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Related labour experience, including using and maintaining various hand and power tools and equipment with the capability of performing physical labour duties as required.
  • Experience working on a road surfacing crew placing Asphalt Stabilized Base Course (Cold Mix) and able to fill various roles to support the surfacing work not limited to coordinating haul trucks, material record keeping, flagging and the maintenance and operation of packing equipment as needed is an asset.
  • Heavy equipment operating experience in an asset
Salary & Benefits

The total rewards package for this position includes:

An hourly rate of pay of $29.66 working 40 hours/week.
