Description
As the Asphalt & Aggregates Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations within the Construction & Materials division, ensuring efficient Asphalt and Aggregates Plant production. This role is responsible for coordinating all product lab testing, managing production and inventory tracking, and maintaining accurate waste documentation. You will also lead weekly Asphalt/Aggregate Plant meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and supporting continuous operational improvement. Primary duties include:
• Direct the activities of Foremen and field staff while adhering to relevant collective agreements and policies.
• Plan, schedule, supervise, and coordinate staff that provide operational services, potentially including weekend and/or night shifts.
• Coach, mentor and develop staff. Establish performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and direct and/or deliver training.
• Evaluate methods and processes that improve efficiency and mitigate risks. Plan, organize, and monitor established objectives to ensure quality and service standards are developed and met.
• Be available to address problems as they arise, aid in the trouble shooting process. Investigate and follow up on incidents.
• Coordinate work activities, follow up, respond to internal/external partners and customers and apply corrective actions. Assist Leaders with setting and achieving goals and objectives

Requirements

• A 2-year technical diploma or 2-year diploma in a related field such as Business Administration.
• At least 8 years of experience in Asphalt and Aggregate production
• A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalency) with no more than 6 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending OR; a valid Graduated Driver's Licence (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending is required.
• Ability to interpret drawings, problem solve, provide leadership, build relationships, and communicate well with others is preferred.
• Success in this position requires the ability to communicate and provide clear and concise instructions to a diversified work force to operate efficiently and safely.
• You must have a proven record of being able to effectively lead and motivate employees, run the operation with minimum guidance, make on-site and instinct decisions when production and safety are affected.

Salary & Benefits

Level M1 $113,400 - $141,700 per annum
