The ideal candidate should have completed Grade 12 and hold a Certified Arborist Technician designation, along with an ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certification. A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in the arboriculture field is required, along with a strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence. Additionally, the candidate must obtain a WUAA/HEBC Falling & Bucking Endorsement, a Pesticide Applicator's License, and certifications in Chainsaw Safety and Fall Protection within six months of being hired. A qualification as a Tree Risk Assessor would be considered an asset. The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a clear Police Information Check for offences related to the position. Applicants who meet the one year of experience requirement and have completed coursework in arboriculture, horticulture or a related discipline may be considered. A baseline hearing test is required.
