Community Services is recruiting enthusiastic and motivated individuals for Program Assistant –Summer Outdoor Camps – SNPP & Youth Camps positions. The Program Assistant supports  a variety of outdoor summer camps, participants and the program leader by providing safe, inclusive, and engaging recreational experiences for children and youth throughout the summer season.

Program Assistants support Program Leaders in delivering high-quality outdoor camp programming. This includes assisting with daily activities, helping to implement safe and well-organized programs, supervising participants, supporting out trips, providing basic first aid as needed, and working cooperatively with participants, parents, and supervisors to ensure a positive camp experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills, gain hands-on experience working with children and youth, and be part of a dynamic and supportive team.

Requirements

Requirements include completion of Grade 10; a minimum of eight weeks of experience working with the required age group in a recreational, day camp, or instructional setting; Emergency First Aid and CPR-C certification; and the ability to work safely and enthusiastically in an outdoor environment. Employment is subject to the provision of a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) dated within the last six months. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Applicants must provide proof of completion of Grade 10 and current Emergency First Aid and CPR-C at time of interview.

Salary & Benefits
