The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary education or training in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field considered an asset.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounts payable, general ledger, or municipal/government finance operations
- Experience using computerized financial systems (e.g., municipal accounting systems) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with contribution agreements, invoice verification, and financial documentation requirements
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
