Cedar Hill Recreation Centre is seeking enthusiastic and creative arts professionals to join our team as Instructor III – Ceramics. We are currently hiring up to 3 casual instructors to develop and teach ceramics classes, camps and workshops for a range of age groups, which may include adults, school age children and youth. Candidates will be expected to deliver engaging and age-appropriate instruction, while fostering a creative and welcoming environment for participants. The ideal candidates will demonstrate advanced ceramic skills, strong communication abilities and creativity, ensuring that all participants have a positive educational experience.
Requirements include completion of Grade 10; a minimum of three months experience instructing in the field of ceramics; relevant certification or training in accordance with industry standards; and a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) no older than six months. Emergency First Aid and CPR-C certification is required.
Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts which may include daytime, evenings, and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change). This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $29.51 per hour plus 15% ($4.42) in lieu of benefits.
