The ideal candidate would have the following:
- High School Diploma supplemented by current enrollment or completion of post-secondary education in Agriculture or a related field.
- Valid Alberta Pesticide Applicator's License or the ability to obtain one.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Upon hire, a current Driver’s Abstract must be provided.
- Ability to safely perform manual labour tasks relating to weed control.
- Familiarity operating UTVs, power tools, medium duty truck/trailer and GPS/GIS tracking systems.
- An agricultural background or pesticide application experience would be an asset.
The total rewards package for this position includes:
An hourly rate of pay of $31.86 (Licensed Applicator 2026 rate) or $28.63 (Unlicensed Applicator 2026 rate) working 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week; May to approximately August 28, 2026.
