Position Summary
The Assistant Operations and Line Manager plays a key role in advancing the asset management program for the utility and supporting the Operations and Line Manager in the coordination of operations and line crews’ activities. This role is a succession plan for the Operations and Line Manager to ensure the long-term success of Nelson Hydro.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical Power Technology or a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, including Professional Designation or an acceptable equivalency as a journey person within an electrical trade.
- Hold or be eligible to hold a Class B Electrical Field Safety Representative certificate with Technical Safety BC.
- 3 years of recent related experience in a supervisory/management capacity.
- 8 years of experience within an electrical utility.
- Experience in asset management, equipment condition assessments and computerized maintenance management of transmission, distribution and hydroelectric power generation infrastructure.
- Experience managing capital construction projects at generating stations, substations and/or on power lines.

Compensation: $112,500.00 - $125,000.00
Hours: 8 hours per day
Days: Monday - Friday
