Description
In conjunction with the Fire Chief and the Deputy Fire Chief - Operations, the incumbent is an integral part of the Prince George Fire Services management team. The Deputy Fire Chief, Administration, provides expertise on a broad range of administrative and operational matters and is accountable for fire prevention and fire inspection services for the City. The Deputy Fire Chief supports the Fire Chief in the leadership of strategic planning, annual reporting, quality assurance processes, business technologies, and data mining and analytics. The incumbent plays a key leadership role in the development and management of the department’s annual budget.
Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a high school diploma along with a minimum of two years of post-secondary education including courses in fire service leadership, business administration or a related discipline. Completion of Fire Officer II is critical, as is considerable knowledge of the Fire Services and its culture. A minimum of ten years’ progressively responsible experience in a fire department is required, along with five years of supervisory experience.
Salary & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $180,509 to $185,734 along with a comprehensive benefits and pension package.
