G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Recreation Clerk to provide vital administrative and clerical support. This position plays a key role in coordinating facility rentals, performing front-line customer service, and supporting the marketing, registration, and merchandise functions within the centre. The Recreation Clerk is responsible for producing promotional and booking materials, maintaining accurate financial records and reports, handling payments and refunds, processing registrations, supporting inventory control, and ensuring effective communication with staff, suppliers, and the public.
Requirements include completion of Grade 12, supplemented by up to one year of post-secondary education in office administration, basic accounting, or graphic design. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a similar administrative or customer service role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, comfort with computer systems and point-of-sale tools, and a collaborative, service-driven mindset.
The successful candidate will work varying hours of work including evenings, early mornings, and weekend depending on the facility needs.
