As a Computer Technician 1 ($34.84 - $35.54), you have completed a Computer Science degree or a two-year diploma in Computer Information Systems and have a minimum of one year of related experience. To qualify as a Computer Technician 2 ($37.17 - $38.04), you have one year of related experience with a Computer Science degree and a minimum of two years of related experience with a diploma. As a Computer Technician 3 ($39.73 - $40.74), you have two years of related experience with your degree and a minimum of three years of related experience with your diploma. As a Computer Technician 4 ($42.79 – $43.84), you have three years of related experience with your degree and a minimum of five years of related experience with your diploma. As you progress to higher classifications within this position, there are increased opportunities to work independently and take on more complex responsibilities. As a condition of employment, the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a clear RCMP Secret Clearance as well as hold a valid full privilege Class 5 BC driver’s license (or out of province equivalent).
