Human Resources Assistant 

TEMPORARY Full-Time

Location: High River, Alberta (On-site position)

Foothills County has an excellent opportunity for a junior to intermediate-level human resources professional to fill a six-month temporary role supporting the human resources department's day-to-day operations. The role is ideal for a driven and organized individual who pays close attention to detail and wants to progress in the field of human resources.

Requirements

As our Human Resources Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the HR team with a wide range of responsibilities, including HR general administration, full-cycle recruitment, employee onboarding, records management and compliance, and HR initiative support.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • A postsecondary degree or diploma and a minimum of two years of progressive human resources experience are required. A diploma from a college or university program in Human Resources, along with appropriate job experience, will be considered.
  • Experience, knowledge, and proficiency in full-cycle recruitment are preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required. 
  • Knowledge and awareness of regulations pertaining to municipal government and human resources is regarded as a benefit, such as Employment Standards, Human Rights, FOIP, and OHS.

  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills and ability to stay organized.
  • Must display and maintain high levels of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion at all times.

  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day to day work and long-term goals.
  • Highly adaptive and able to manage a large volume of competing priorities.
