Reporting to the Division Manager, Water Operations, the Manager, Water Quality is the designated person under the Safe Drinking Water Act for theCorporations compliance responsibilities as it relates to the Drinking Water Quality Management System and day-to-day monitoring of drinking water to ensurecompliance under Ontario Regulation 170. This position works in a team environment along side other environmental specialists in the formulation of short- andlong-term water quality workplans, budgets, policy analysis and development, and related business plans and initiatives. The Manager, Water Quality workswith technical staff to deliver the programs and provides water quality expertise on City projects, as required, in conjunction with other City Project/Program Managers.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Environmental Sciences or in a relevant area of study or equivalent combination of education and relatedprofessional and lived community experience.
- Five to seven years related experience in delivering water compliance programs and the development of water quality management systems includingmanagement responsibilities.
- A valid driver’s license and have available use of a vehicle is required.
Compensation & Other Information:
$100,395 - $131,441
This posting is for 1 permanent, full-time position.
Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Work Arrangement: On-Site
