To qualify for this role, you have a Bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, Parks, Recreation & Leisure, or a related field, along with relevant experience in a municipal setting. Membership or eligibility for registration with the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects is ideal. Full membership, or eligibility for full membership, in the Canadian Institute of Planners is an asset. Candidates should have at least five years of parks planning experience in a government environment, which includes managing planning projects, studies, and policy or program development, demonstrating proven skills in engaging with the community and various stakeholder groups. A valid full privilege Class 5 BC Drivers’ License (or out-of-province equivalent) is required.
