The Cedar Hill Golf Course features a player-friendly 18-hole, 5,200-yard, par 67 course, with picturesque views of the Olympic Mountains. Lead by its dedicated grounds crew, we are proud to share that we are in the process of completing the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf certification — an award-winning program that helps golf courses protect our environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf.

The Cedar Hill Golf Course is seeking a permanent part time Golf Course Mechanic to join our talented grounds team. The successful candidate will be required to perform tradesperson work at the journey-level demanding skill and ability in the application of trade practices in a variety of tasks to ensure a high quality of turf maintenance for the Cedar Hill Golf Course. This individual will develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and performs mechanical maintenance and repairs including oil changes, lube jobs, grinding reels and bed knives.

Requirements

Requirements include: Grade 12 or equivalent; Trades Qualification Certificate and Certificate of Apprenticeship in Mechanics and some technical courses in reel and bed knife training, small motor and diesel engine repair; Four years of experience as a golf course mechanic, including experience with reel and bed knives maintenance, preventative maintenance programs and records management; Experience using spreadsheets, databases and filing systems; Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence; An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The successful candidate will work varying shifts including early mornings and weekends and a minimum of 14 hours per week. As a component of the selection process, testing will be conducted. Only those under consideration will be contacted.

Salary & Benefits
