Description
The City of Nanaimo is seeking a permanent full-time Police Support Clerk. Under the supervision of the Manager, Police Support Services, the incumbent provides administrative, financial, and clerical support to the Finance, Fleet, and Administrative Sections, and to the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee of the Nanaimo RCMP Detachment.
Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum 6 month Office Administration training program at an accredited educational institution (e.g. VIU or Sprott Shaw), as well as a minimum of 1 year of related clerical or customer service experience. Possession of a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence is required.
Salary & Benefits
This is a CUPE bargaining unit position based on a 35-hour work week. The hourly wage is $36.83, increasing to $38.75 upon successful completion of probation (Jan 2025 Rates).
