The successful candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada and, will:
• Have a minimum of one of the following 2 qualifications
• Journeymen Instrumentation Technician Certification is preferred; apprenticeship may be considered and/or
• A Diploma in Instrumentation Technology from a recognized college (Study of advanced math, Engineering theory and scientific principles) preferred, other diplomas with transferrable skills may be considered
• Journeymen Electrician Certification is an asset
• Experience with Instrumentation and Electrical controls is an asset
• SCADA and PLC experience would be an asset
• Water/Wastewater treatment experience would be an asset
• Be self-motivated, organized and safety conscious
Ability to perform duties with minimal direction or supervision
• Have proven mechanical aptitude, good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of best practices related to preventative maintenance systems
• Consistently model Aquatera’s Values and Principles; as well as incorporating continuous improvement initiatives
• Have a valid Class five Drivers’ license
• Have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent
As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to:
• Provide a copy of a valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Provide a driver’s abstract satisfactory to the employer and
• Pass a 50 lb. fitness test
• Pass a comprehensive drug and alcohol test
