Your key responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive asset management plan, focusing on optimizing resources and service delivery.
- Oversee project delivery and management for Parks and Recreation capital programs, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Collaborate with staff on capital projects, delegating tasks and coordinating resources to achieve program goals.
- Conduct site inspections and manage contractors to ensure compliance with City standards and specifications.
- Develop annual project plans for capital rehabilitation and upgrades, monitoring and controlling expenditures.
- Foster a collaborative environment by building strong relationships with partners, user groups, and community partners.
- Research and implement best practices in asset management and operational innovation.
- Lead and provide supervisory oversight to a diverse team, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Management, or Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in asset/capital planning, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Asset Management certification from an accredited Asset Management Institution and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- An equivalent combination of management-approved training and experience may be considered.
