Reporting to the Division Manager, Geomatics, the City Surveyor is responsible for managing surveying operations and ensuring accurate spatial data for infrastructure development, land use planning, and municipal projects for the Corporation. The City Surveyor oversees a team of surveyors and technicians, coordinates survey activities, manages data stewardship, provides mapping and drafting services, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. By overseeing land surveying operations as an Ontario Land Surveyor or managing the retention of external OLS services, this role ensures the accurate, efficient, and compliant execution of surveying projects and related legal services on behalf of the City of London.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a University Degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field.
- Current registration as a Licensed Ontario Land Surveyor (cadastral surveying) with the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors is required.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience in land surveying, including experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Must possess a valid Class G driver’s licence and have available use of a vehicle.
Compensation & Other Information:
$99,156 - $129,818

Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Work Arrangement: On-site. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.
