Responsibilities:
- Process prisoners upon their arrival including taking photographs, checking personal effects, audit/complete prisoner booking documents, and preparing and serving prisoner meals
- Monitor and ensure safety of all prisoners at all times, according to RCMP Policy and Procedures
- Maintain and clean the holding cell facilities, equipment and supplies
- Create and or maintain found property files including proper storage and disposal according to RCMP policy and procedures
- Testify in court on prisoner management when required
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma and 3 years related experience
- Familiarity with PROS, PROS access or the ability to learn this software quickly is an asset
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to quickly adapt to any situation and apply good judgment during emergency situations
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to juggle a variety of tasks
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency to work in a networked environment
Conditions of Employment:
- Ability to obtain an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance
- Availability to work shift work
- Ability to perform physical labour as part of the job duties and stand/walk for extended periods of time
Pay Range: $27.69 - $34.60
