This position is part of the Finance Department, reporting to the Finance and Accounting Manager. The role of the Tax & Utilities Clerk is to maintain an accurate database on the tax and utility software system. The position is responsible for the processing of all taxes receivable and utilities. This role will be involved with customer and ratepayer account set up and maintenance. The Tax & Utilities Clerk will field internal and external inquiries from staff and customers, ratepayers or members of the general public. The Tax & Utilities Clerk will perform due diligence to uphold the integrity of the tax and utility system and any relevant policies, procedures, regulations, legislation and/or bylaws. This position works closely with the Utilities Department and is responsible for generating utility invoices and updating customer information.
