In this role, you are responsible for the project management of infrastructure projects including client-focused projects requiring effective listening and consensus building with a wide variety of stakeholders. Our ideal candidate
- You are known for possessing project management skills and strong organizational skills with a proven ability to successfully carry out projects from conception to completion in an efficient, and orderly manner.
- You are a leader who exercises judgement and makes effective decisions.
- You establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other department teams, contractors and public stakeholders.
- Has knowledge of Provincial and Federal legislation as well as industry standards relative to design and construction.
- Will be responsible for coordinating municipal, provincial and federal approvals necessary for assigned projects and must have competitive bidding and contract principles and practices.
Qualifications
- You have completed a two (2) year diploma in civil engineering technology or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- You have five years of project management experience in capital planning, design and construction.
- Possess or you are eligible to obtain your certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
- You possess a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's license and are able to work in a safety sensitive position.
- This position has been identified as Safety Sensitive and requires the completion of a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen
