Description
The Waterworks Division is seeking multiple Utility Operators to assist in the maintenance, installation and repair of various water distribution components. The successful candidates will work on potable water systems, be part of a crew installing watermains, assist with live tapping of services and understand and follow best management practices to maintain water quality.

Requirements

Requirements include: Grade 12 or equivalent; EOCP OIT (Operator in Training) Certification for Water Distribution is an asset; one year of pipefitting experience in water main Installation or repair; Traffic Control Certificate; Occupational First Aid Level I Certification and annual renewal of Driver’s Abstract. 

Additionally, qualified candidates will have versatility, manual dexterity and sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to work in all weather conditions. The successful candidates will work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (40 hours per week).

As a component of the selection process, testing will be conducted.

Salary & Benefits

This is a C.U.P.E.
