About You / What We Are Looking For

 

We are currently hiring one Regular Full Time Preventative Maintenance Coordinator to join our growing Facilities team. The successful candidate will coordinate and implement planned preventative and predictive maintenance for a variety of City facilities and buildings. Administers and procure service contracts for building maintenance and repairs, in coordination with the Purchasing Division; assists with development and review of front end bidding documents; coordinates contractor services. Furthermore, you will administer preventative maintenance contracts for maintenance services, while also inspecting the work of contractors to ensure compliance. As the successful candidate, you will also regularly be monitoring budget expenditures. Oversees city wide security systems and software; responsible for key management, swipe card management, and CCTV installations; and performs security risk assessments.

 

The Preventative Maintenance Coordinator will have excellent communication skills, and will create strong relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will also coordinate work with staff, contractors and various departments when it comes to facility asset servicing. Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Completed high school, supplemented by a two-year technical course in Building Technology, as well as additional courses in Facilities Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in building maintenance.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A Driver’s License for the Province of BC is required (with satisfactory driving record).

This CUPE position has an hourly rate range of $42.44 - $50.12. The rate of pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.

Additionally, there is an opportunity to participate in an earned day off program. This position is based in Coquitlam.
