Purpose of the position

The position will (but not limited to):

  • Work with local schools to determine, deliver and evaluate related services and programs.
  • Visit schools to mentor and teach students, within the assigned area of responsibility.

·      * When not working with the schools, this position will also work within the capacity of a Community Peace Officer I:

o   Providing complaint response, conducting investigations, initiating enforcement action, providing public education, positive community engagement and interacting with residents, visitors, and a variety of partners.

o   Responding to emergency assistance calls that may involve the public, other partner agencies or other officers.

Position details

  • Salary: $39.56 - $50.77/hour
  • Full-time permanent position
  • Hours: Shift work may vary, which may include evenings and weekends
