Description
The District of Saanich is seeking Team Leaders - Aquatics  to provide direction and support to instructor staff at Saanich Commonwealth Place  Recreation Centre and will assist in the provision of instructional or recreation programs. The successful incumbents will ensure that on duty staff are working effectively, the program is operating safely, and the facility is properly prepared for the enjoyment and satisfaction of all patrons.  The Team Leader will be the lead hand in the event of any emergency.

Requirements

Requirements include: completion of Grade 12; current Lifesaving Society BC Swim Instructor certification; minimum two years teaching experience; National Lifeguard (NL) Certification and (Water Park Option) an asset. Employment is subject to provision of a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) no older than 6 months. Swim Instructor Trainer certification and two years of lifeguarding experience is also considered an asset. The successful candidate(s) will be required to work varying shifts including mornings, evenings, and / or weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).

Salary & Benefits

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $29.19 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits.
