Conduct engineering investigations including traffic/speed studies, intersection review and analyses, traffic count data basing (AADT’s), collision report data basing, computer aided drafting (CAD), pre-engineering surveys, construction layout, inspection and supervision.

EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND CERTIFICATION
• Graduate of a Community College in Civil Engineering Technology program.
• Eligible for membership in Ontario Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists.
• Strong CAD skills, good word processing/computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and public relation skills, with the ability to work with people.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to prepare technical reports and letters.
• Excellent organizational skills to efficiently meet daily deadlines.
• Ability to perform the duties with minimum supervision.
• Fundamental knowledge of Traffic Engineering principles.
• Knowledge of the OPSS and OPSD standards, and provincial sign standards.
• Knowledge of survey methods, construction procedures and practices, and material sampling and testing methods.
• Knowledge of provincial legislation related to roads and drainage.
• Ability to interpret and implement County policies and procedures while carrying out the work.
• Class G Driver’s License in good standing.
EXPERIENCE
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in traffic operations, road design, road construction and inspection.
$35.35 - $43.57 as per Collective Agreement CUPE 5820.01
