Description
The District of Saanich seeks an individual who will be responsible for the direct programming in skating at G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre. Duties include program planning, implementation, evaluation and supervision of leadership staff. The ideal candidate will be energetic and creative and will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.  Successful candidates should have previous figure skating or hockey experience while working with a dynamic staff in an arena setting.

Requirements

Requirements include: a two-year post-secondary diploma in recreation, leisure studies or a related field; two years of experience in program planning and staff supervision; occupational First Aid Level II as required; satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector, and a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence (as required).

Salary & Benefits

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $40.73 per hour and an excellent benefits package.
