The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for two part-time (25 hours per week) term Aquatics Lifeguards. Under the general supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor or designate, the Aquatics Lifeguard performs lifeguarding functions as well as minor maintenance.  This is an entry-level training position and no previous experience as a lifeguard is required. A lifeguard will work with an experienced lifeguard for the first 528 hours, after which they will be able to work independently.

Requirements:

  • Current National Lifeguard Award (Pool Option).
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED.
  • Compliance with and approval of a Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector.
  • Instructor certification is not required for this position.

The ideal candidate possesses the capacity to perform all duties in a safe manner while fostering positive relationships with both the public and fellow staff. Please include copies of any relevant certification with your application.
