The Planning Technician will provide planning services across a range of areas such as affordable housing, capital projects, climate action planning, downtown revitalization, landscaping improvements, etc. The Planning Technician will also accept, review and process applications for development variances, and minor development permits.
The preferred candidate will have an undergraduate degree in the field of Community Planning or a closely related program of studies, OR a diploma in the field of Community Planning and over 6 months of practical experience. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of the Community Charter, Local Government Act, and other provincial policies in respect of planning matters.
This is position is a full-time unionized position that is 35 hours/week. The hourly rate is $33.86 - $37.62 per hour, plus an attractive benefits package.
