Saanich Commonwealth Place is seeking a Program Technician – Aquatics to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of aquatic programs.   The successful candidate will assist in the recruitment, selection, training, and staff supervision necessary to provide these programs.

The successful candidate will work varying hours of work including mornings, evenings, and weekend shifts (21 hours per week).  Hours may increase due to seasonal demand.

Requirements

Requirements include completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; minimum one year leadership experience including at least six months staff supervisory experience, program specialty certification where applicable, Occupational First Aid Level 1 where applicable, Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence as required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Trainer considered an asset. Employment is subject to provision of a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check no older than 6 months. Renewal of PIC-VS is required as per policy.

Salary & Benefits

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with an hourly wage of $37.07 (2024 rate) plus an excellent benefit package.
