The Opportunity:
Under general supervision, the Plumbing/Gas Safety Codes Officer will inspect the installation, operation and maintenance of plumbing, gas, and private sewage systems to ensure compliance with the relevant codes, standards, and regulations. The incumbent will provide guidance to owners, contractors, and trade professionals to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. The incumbent works to ensure the customer service standards of the Municipality are always met, whether interaction is on the phone, via email, or in person.
These are permanent, full-time positions within the CUPE 1505 Bargaining Unit.
Compensation:
Based on an 80 hour bi-weekly schedule (4 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 4 days off work), the rate of pay for this position is $70.46 for an annual salary of $146,557.00. The RMWB also pays a $480.00 bi-weekly cost of living allowance and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
