The City of Medicine Hat Information Technology department is looking for a highly motivated Systems Analyst to join their team, onsite, and provide technical support for the City's physical, virtual and cloud technology services. As a member of the Technology Solutions team, you are responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance, protection and support of security and client facing technology services in a complex IT environment. You will work closely with clients and IT staff to understand and advocate for appropriate technology solutions, provide direction, information and recommendations regarding information technology services.
Our ideal candidate
- Has relevant experience working with enterprise level information technologies, such as Microsoft AD, servers, Azure, Exchange, M365, virtual client management technologies, VPN networking and security technologies (Microsoft MFA, Checkpoint and ED/XDR, etc.).
- Possesses relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft MCSE, CCNA, CISM/CISSP, etc.).
- Has practical knowledge and experience gained managing and administering mid-sized (500+ users) or larger corporate systems environments.

Qualifications
- Successful completion of a two (2) year diploma from a recognized post-secondary or technical institution in computer technology or related field;
- One (1) year of experience in a similar Systems Analyst position;
- Relocation to Medicine Hat is required.
- An equivalent combination of management approved training and education may be considered.
