The successful candidate will lead a team of IT specialists that will be managing servers, databases, virtualization hosting, network services, monitoring and reporting, backups and disaster recovery planning. You will be responsible for hardware installation, maintenance, and performance tuning while ensuring high levels of availability.
Requirements include: University Degree in the field of Computer Sciences, Information Technology or related discipline with six years of recent experience in related roles or an equivalent combination of relevant training and on the job experience; minimum two years of supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment and possession of a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s Licence. Possession of current industry certifications on Vmware, Windows, Red Hat, networking and ITIL certification would be an asset.
The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday, 7 hours per day between 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (35 hours per week).
As a component of the recruitment process testing will be conducted.
