We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Applications Analyst in our Enterprise Systems and Analytics department. This is not a full-time remote position and will require the incumbent to be onsite when required.
About this opportunity:
The Applications Analyst is responsible for supporting, managing, and implementing enterprise applications across the organization. This position will contribute alongside their analyst colleagues in the development of the application management framework which includes standards, processes, and best practices for managing enterprise systems. This position will also integrate data and software systems to improve quality and efficiency across the organization, manage projects, and lead the implementation or development of business applications. The Applications Analyst will also collaborate with team members to assist in the analysis, design, configuration, validation, testing, implementation, documentation, support, and problem resolution of the business applications throughout the project.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Review and analyze effectiveness and efficiency of applications & develop strategies for improving or leveraging the applications
- Participate in the design, development, and delivery of applications training programs
- Support users with incident management, identify and resolve systems issues, and act as the first point of contact with vendors
- Perform fixes including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
- Ensure that new software that is integrated into existing systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
- Assess upgrade alignment with business requirements, and integrate with application road maps
- Perform duties as formally delegated by Manager, Enterprise Systems and Analytics
- Analyze documentation & technical specifications of new applications under deployment or consideration to determine intended functionality
Qualifications:
You are an ideal candidate if you have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline or post-secondary Diploma and equivalent years of experience
- Minimum five (5) years of experience implementing, managing and supporting corporate business applications both on-premise and SaaS
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in project management, processes, and tools
- Experience in business process optimization and the development of data integration and data interoperability
- The ability to develop Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms and/or products
- ITIL Foundations Certificate, PMP or PRINCE2 accreditation is considered an asset
- Experience with administering Municipal Asset management applications such as CityWorks and SeeClickFix is considered an asset
- Experience with administering Municipal Permitting applications such as CityView is considered an asset
- Experience administering Municipal Financial applications such as Workday and Diamond GP is considered an asset
- Experience administering Public Safety applications used for Fire Records Management or Computer Aided Dispatch is considered an asset
- Experience developing and administering SharePoint is considered an asset
- Must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check at own expense
