Lifeguard 1
Lifeguard 1 is responsible for lifeguard and instructing swim programs. The Lifeguard must always do so by ensuring the safety and well-being of patrons through education and training.
As the Lifeguard I must be able to perform rescues and first aid as required while ensuring an effective, efficient, and safe operation of the Aquatic area, while procedures and safety of the staff and patrons in the aquatic area are maintained.
Perform additional duties as required.
Responsibilities
Exceptional customer service is a must, there is also a high level of verbal communication required, along with developed listening skills. Must be able to work with patrons of varying ages, in independent and team situations. Must be able to problem solve to meet patrons’ needs.
You Bring
Lifeguard 1 requirements:
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Current WSI, NLS, AEC or equivalent
- Leadership experience
- Shift work is required
Hours
Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Required to work outside of traditional business hours and scheduling will be dependent on the operational requirements of the facility.
Salary/Wage
Lifeguard 1 - $27.14 per hour as per the Collective Agreement
