Description
As the Anti-Racism Business Strategist, you will develop and deliver strategic advice, analysis, recommendations, high-quality project management documentation and financial expertise to senior management. You will also be responsible for developing reports and business plans for senior management and City Council, setting program performance measures, and delivering on strategic initiatives to improve racial equity outcomes for The City. Primary duties include:
• Support, consult and manage strategic initiatives in the Anti-Racism Program.
• Develop strategic frameworks and recommendations, lead project chartering work, understand and advise on governance and policy and review service strategies and deliverables.
• Provide business analysis, consultation and recommendations about efficiency, effectiveness and scope of business activities to advance the delivery of strategic frameworks that improve the Program.
• Provide collaborative and innovative solutions to complex issues, facilitate strategic discussions and provide leadership for administrative and operational functions.
• Research and develop financial modelling, provide support with budget cycles, analysis and reporting.
• Assist and coordinate Anti-Racism reports and presentations to Executive Leadership and Council.
• Streamline and enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide expertise and knowledge in performing analysis of current operational processes, performance measures and services while identifying opportunities to leverage best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications
• A degree and at least 5 years of experience that provides a solid understanding of anti-racism, systematic racism, living and lived experience, racial equity, strategy and policy development and an understanding of systemic racism issues experienced by Indigenous, Black and diverse Racialized communities.
• Experience in qualitative and quantitative research and analysis will be considered an asset.
• Experience writing policies and reports, including Council reports, will be considered an asset.
• Experience with project management, finance and client negotiation will be considered an asset.
• Intermediate level proficiency in MS Word, Excel and a working knowledge of Content Server will be considered an asset.
• Success in this position requires well-developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication skills.
• Success in this position also requires facilitation skills, business and political acumen with the ability to influence others and build consensus.

Salary & Benefits

Pay Grade 11 $42.09 - $56.27 per hour
