The Opportunity: Associate CAO - Finance & Planning

 

Lac La Biche County is seeking applications for an Associate CAO - Finance & Planning. This individual will report to, and work alongside the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to carry out the overall administration of the County. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Associate CAO - Finance & Planning serves as the senior leader for Finance, Grants, and Planning and Development. The Senior Leadership Team works cooperatively with Council to provide the municipality with strategic advice and information required by Council to set policy and provide the services required by the community. Furthermore, the Senior Leadership team is the sounding board for all policy development and administrative procedures in the County.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate: Qualifications & Experience

 

An ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in business, commerce, management, public administration, or a related discipline. A masters' degree would be an asset. The successful candidate would also have a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA), eligible for membership in CPA Alberta, and 10yrs of related experience (with at least 5 years in a senior position leading people, programs, and policy development). 

National Advanced Certificate in Local Administration Level II, and/or coursework and experience in Planning and Development are both considered strong assets.

The successful candidate will be required to reside within the boundaries of Lac La Biche County for the reasons of operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Salary & Benefits

Position Details 

Competition #: 54-AFP-22

Location: Lac La Biche, AB

Status: Full-Time Permanent (35 hour work week, Monday - Friday)

Salary: $148,657.60 - $192,483.20
