Description

We are seeking to fill a full-time Software Application Specialist position.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Manager of IT, the Software Application Specialist will provide application software configuration and project management for corporate software initiatives for the Town.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Requires a four-year university degree in a Software Programming/Software Engineering/Computer Science discipline or equivalent.
  • Requires a minimum five years’ relevant work experience in a similar environment, including an in depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and demonstrated project management skills.
  • Project Management certification is recommended.
  • Extensive SQL scripting and server experience is recommended.
  • Specific knowledge of the following software is recommended:
  • CityView
  • CityWorks
  • Great Plains
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written; strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated collaborative work style with the ability to effectively collaborate and work with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills with a proven ability to delegate.
Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $73,782.80 - $86,340.80 (2022 Rate)
