The District is seeking a an experienced professional to join us as the Senior Manager of Financial Services who will act as the senior advisor to the Director of Finance on all administrative and financial matters. The successful candidate will be overseeing a team of managers responsible for day-to-day operation of all accounting and financial systems and will perform a wide range of strategic financial responsibilities including coordination of long term capital and operating budgets and assets, reserves and debt management.
The Senior Manager will be an accomplished and inclusive people leader responsible for leading and developing departmental employees. You are committed to operational effectiveness and efficiency within the Municipality and deliver exceptional customer service to the public.
Requirements include a Professional Accounting Designation for which a University degree is a prerequisite; eight years’ progressive, directly related public sector accounting experience preferably in local government.
