Qualifications include a diploma in Human Resources and four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Considerable knowledge of rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to labour relations; methods and techniques used in processing, tracking and maintaining grievances, attendance management and return to work documentation; ability to deal tactfully with unions; good command of business English, understand and apply the terms of collective agreements and City policies; prepare, maintain, process and control a variety of records and files; exercise discretion in processing confidential matters and materials; adaptability to work in a fast paced team setting and exercise professionalism. A valid Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia is also required.
