Description
The District of Saanich is seeking an experienced journeyman electrician for trades work in the Facility Operations Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical installation, maintenance and repair, including control and data cabling, at municipal buildings and facilities, and will direct the work of apprentices and others within the trade.

Requirements

Requirements include: minimum grade 12 or equivalent; Certificate of Electrical Apprenticeship and Electrical Trades Qualification Certificate; four years of experience as a TQ Electrician; Electrical Field Safety Representative designation (FSR B or A); Building Management System Training; valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and must pass and maintain the required enhanced reliability security clearance for operational work with the Saanich Police Department.

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (40 hours per week) and be able to work in all types of adverse weather.

Salary & Benefits
